SW4 Hunting Dirk

A small hunting sword or dirk once belonging to the 9th Earl of Rothes (1675-1722).The name ‘Rothes’ and the family crest are etched on to the blade which may have been cut down from a larger ceremonial sword. The blade dates from late 17th to early 18th century, the handle is a later addition.
